Current trends: more is not better

I'm still mulling The Crew: I think he has left us all hands the size of the games. Yesterday I talked about Shenmue and appreciated how wonderful Yokosuka and how something with less size than other major polis playable today were not as credible as a game of 1999. The problem is that we got into a vicious circle not let us see beyond the numbers, and I fear that not only complicates the creativity of teams that could make it big in the small.

Not that this is something that happens in the sandbox or driving games: happens in virtually any known genus. Look criticism by Arc System Works there few? BlazBlue characters or Guilty Gear. What would happen to Street Fighter or Tekken V 7 if would bet less characters but better quality? He would throw in the absence of mindundis face up to Bruce in one or the fucking Dan on the other. Making a fighting game currently required to carry every one of the characters from the previous release to the new game.

Many blamed on Marvel VS. Capcom 3 having fewer characters that Marvel VS. Capcom 2; did not get to look at a game system completely changed from the classic Dreamcast and Naomi. Dreaming of a current Yokosuka; Sleep with a few kilometers of reality without having to worry about the distance we can go or places you can get taking any means of transport. There are good stories and good experiences do not come from a town: Do we accept that in the video game world? I suspect not: behold Alien Isolation.

Within its large and undeniable virtues game Creative Assembly has let absurd megalomaniac: a duration absolutely out of place and a fixation on continuing the story of Ridley Scott almost insulting. Not worth a story of a survivor in Sevastopol found an unknown threat? Should be the daughter of Ripley? Did I need that ridiculous end? I am convinced that the work would have been better if it had not been so arrogant in its conception. Like The Crew: Less Map would have improved the rest of the game? Probably.
