Koen Verweij puts his skating career with Team Corendon. That leaves the 23-year-old North Hollander announced yesterday. The reigning world all-around was looking for a new team because TVM at the end of last season stopped as a sponsor. He signed a two-year contract with an option for another two seasons
Verweij is at Corendon reunited with his old coach Jan van Veen, with whom he was at loggerheads in 2013 before leaving for TVM. Last week all the reconciliation conversation initiated by Corendon director Atilay Uslu. "Jim has the talent to become the new Sven", he says in De Telegraaf. "I definitely wanted to have him."
