Alphabet renews Google Plus Social Network

Alphabet has expanded its online community GooglePlus renewed. The emphasis is now on sharing information.
Google Plus was created in 2011 as a competitor to Facebook, but never became a success, possibly because of the complex design. Google recently removed all the photo-section of Google Plus. That is now a separate product Google Photos.
According to Google, two sections remain relevant. Thus Communities are still 1.2 million users per day, and also the five months ago launched Collections doing well. Collections sort information by subject. These parts are now getting more attention.
The design is adapted for screens of all sizes. The apps for iOS and Android are updated.
