The LG G4 is the first smartphone outside of the Nexus line of Google itself getting an update to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).
The company announced Thursday. Next week, owners of a G4 in Poland for the update.
There is probably still check if the update is working properly. In other countries the following update on an unknown later date, says LG.
The smartphone manufacturer says closely with Google have partnered to enable the rapid update. LG made this year’s Nexus 5X, one of the first two devices with Android 6.0.
The new Android version are include better privacy protections, battery saving Doze mode and native support for fingerprint scanners.
