Oneplus 3: OnePlus founder confirms arrival new phone

The OnePlus three coming in the second quarter of this year. That leaves the founder of the Chinese company in an interview with CNet. Carl Pei wants to give any details about the phone, but is it completely different than the OnePlus 2, he says.

Different look

While Pei does not want to give too many details about the phone, he does say that its design is different than the OnePlus 2. He had, like the One, a sleek rear sandblasted and solid metal edges.

Criticism

The OnePlus 2 received after the release still quite some criticism, notably by the absence of key features like NFC and adding a USB 2.0 connection C. The aircraft was a lot more expensive than the previous model, where fans were not happy.

The first OnePlus received much praise for its good specifications, which at that time were able to measure easily with more expensive competitors like the Galaxy S3 or the LG G3.

Guerilla Marketing

It is not surprising that Pei nothing will lose about details, because that’s a style that the company uses for years: Little by little information is released to stimulate interest in the unit. That worked at the OnePlus 2 at least good, because that device was in his own words sold better than the original OnePlus One, which was already very popular.

Invites

Pei also would not comment on the sales model of the OnePlus 3. Previous phones, as the OnePlus X could initially only be purchased with an ‘invite’, an invitation that was hard to get overall. However OnePlus also said eventually want to get rid of that model and the phones to sell to a ‘normal’ way.
