The designer of, the Ferrari Enzo and the Porsche Boxster, Ken Okuyama warns that, Traditional manufacturers need to be careful that they are not superseded by tech companies such as Google and Apple.  He did this mainly to Japanese manufacturers like Toyota and Honda. The rise of self-driving cars could undermine the dominant position of Japan in the global car market.
Okuyama says, “If they’re not careful they will no longer than suppliers for the tech companies,” which also includes the Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette providing it with a new design,  he added the battle with Google and Apple is the ultimate test for traditional automakers.
Google currently runs in several US states along with customized self-propelled Lexus cars and with a completely homemade and driverless car. Apple is busy hiring people from the automotive industry. That is a strong indication that the company is also working on a car, but never given an official confirmation by Tim Cook and Co.
