Volkswagen may have overtaken Toyota as the largest car dealer in the world, the Japanese still go to head when it comes to making a profit.
Toyota achieved last quarter net profit of 646.4 billion yen, converted nearly 4.8 billion euros. The big German competitor recently reported a profit after tax of over 2.7 billion euros.
Toyota profits from it that the yen has become a lot cheaper compared to the dollar. Net profit rose nearly 10 percent from the same period last year.
The Germans took to the Japanese in the first half have passed with the number of cars sold. At Toyota, sales were from January to June stabbing at 5.02 million cars, which is 1.5 percent less than a year earlier. Volkswagen grossed 5.04 million cars to the man.

The profit forecast for the current fiscal year, which ends in March 2016, remains unchanged at a record of 2.25 trillion yen. That equates to nearly 16.7 billion euros.
