Kate Mara thinks there are too few good roles in Hollywood for actresses. “It’s a problem that the supply of female characters is small,”
The actress sees the problem in all strata of American cinema. “As an actress, you are normally surrounded by men. It does not matter what movie you are, that’s the norm.”
The 32-year-old Mara can be seen from Thursday as Invisible Woman in the superhero film Fantastic Four. She is one of the few women in the movie. They therefore did not find it strange to be surrounded all day by men.
“It’s what I’m used to. And that’s actually a problem. But I love these guys. I always wanted to work with them as actors and now I love them as people,” said the brunette with a broad smile.
