LG creates hexagonal battery for smart watches
LG Chem, the chemical branch of LG has produced a battery that is especially suited by its hexagonal format for smart watches.
This was reported by the company to various South Korean media, including the Korea Times .
According to a spokesman, the batteries are already sold to other tech companies, and they provide 25 percent more capacity compared with rectangular batteries.
“This development gives users four hours extra with their smart watch,” said a company spokesman. LG Chem said that in the second half of this year, the first smart watches appear that use of the battery.
The company mentions no names of customers, but according to sources from the Korea Times is not about Apple or consumentenelektronicatak LG itself.
