Eugenie Bouchard has qualified for the finals of Wimbledon. The 20-year-old Canadian, placed thirteenth, was Thursday's semi-final in straight sets too strong for Simona Halep (3): 7-6 (5), 6-2.Bouchard for the Saturday her first grand slam final. She plays it against Czech Petra Kvitova, who defeated Lucie Safarova in straight sets.
Halep, last month, losing finalist at Roland Garros, Bouchard was initially keep up fine. It had to be treated for her ankle, just after a Romanian comedy but much annoyance she seemed not to suffer. In the tiebreak, which was interrupted after someone in the audience had become unwell recently, however, Bouchard drew the longest straw anyway.
In the second set showed Bouchard, who earlier this year reached the semifinals at the Australian Open and Roland Garros, there is no grass grow. The former Wimbledon champion in the junior ran out to 5-2, yet equally struggled to serve the party, but hit on her sixth match point eventually.
