Recently revealed that the sequel to the film the famous Mexican director, Guillermo del Toro, Pacific Rim (Pacific Titans, 2013) will be released on April 7, 2017, but not only that, it also will feature an animated series.
BuzzFeed, revealed that it is working on an animated serious, although not many details yet as only just say it will be at some unspecified time in history, so it is speculated to occur between Part 1 and 2 movies. Pacific Rim 2 will take place after the events of the first, on the main characters to Raleigh (Charlie Hunnam) and Mako (Rinko Kikuchi), besides it was confirmed that the film will be distributed by Universal Pictures (Legendary Pictures and Universal signed agreement), for which Warner Bros. is no longer involved.
