Volkswagen sells fewer cars in China


Volkswagen has in the first nine months of 2015 sold fewer cars compared to last year. The car company remains optimistic about the prospects for this year.
This makes Volkswagen said Monday, based on the results in the third quarter.
From January to September, a total of 2.58 million person vehicles sold in mainland China and in Hong Kong. That includes 137 000 imported vehicles.
Of the Volkswagen brand were sold in the first three quarters, 7.4 percent fewer cars compared to 2015. luxury subsidiary Audi the number fell by 0.3 percent.
Skoda, another brand of Volkswagen, have performed better. In the first nine months, sales increased by 0.7 percent compared to the same period in 2014.
